Hello to all,
We have joined this forum to see if we can contact and compile a list of other Australian S & S 39 owners. We are interested to see what S & S there are still out there. We know they were originally built in Western Australia, by Bowman/ Prestige yachts. They were built from around 1979 onwards, under the design of Superstar 339. Design no. 2069
Would like to here from any other lucky owners.
Cheers Chris
We have joined this forum using our new I Pad on board but not sure how to upload photos, will work on that.
Hi. Welcome to the forum. There are a couple of S&S 34 owners on the forum here but I am not aware of any S&S 39 owners.
If you go to this site:- www.ss34.org/ somebody there may be able to steer you in the right direction.
The 39s are a smicko yacht so when you have figured out how to upload photos, don't be backward in coming forward.![]()

Hi Mick. I am one of the S&S 34 owners. I'm interested in your topic because the S&S 39 is on my radar if I go up in size. I would like to get out on a 39 if someone in Sydney could offer a sail.
The 34 is a superb boat but a bit cramped internally.
Cheers
Hi Morning Bird
We are currently in Sydney area on and off as we have to go to Townsville about the middle of the month but are not likely to be on our way before the beginning of May.I'm sure we can catch up.We are currently at Cronulla marina, where are you based.
Up in Pittwater in a bay just north of the RMYC called Salt Pan Cove. If you plan to stop off in Pittwater, if you hadn't considered it Broken Bay is very much worth spending some time in, let me know. My email is [email protected]
Cheers
I had a mate Scaffe who had an S&S 36. Chloe she was called. I was lucky enough to sail her a bit, went to Tassie, grouse boat, grouse bloke too.
My parents have a S & S 39, it has never been in the water since it was built. From what we have heard about the boat they are the 7th owners of the boat as all the other owners had big dreams about finishing her off. When we got her about 10 years ago she was only a hull and deck with a slopping cabin which gave no head room, so dad cut the cabin off and has been re-fitting the boat out for the past 10 years. She will be in the water by next year, the only thing needing finishing is the keel and to paint her
Wow!!

Hi All,
S&S 39's are awesome boats !! But I'm biased
I have an S&S 39 based in Perth, I'm keen to make contact with other owners as well. I know there is another one in Fremantle sailing club but dont know its name. Plus I believe John Sanders has another. I believe he can be contacted via the S&S 34 association which his brother is involved in.
I look forward to any opportunity to chat about them to anyone who'll listen !
Cheers Craig![]()
