Hi Seabreezers,

We have just bought a catamaran and are now looking for a home to park her until we are ready to set sail on our cruising adventure (approx. this time next year). Looking for any suggestions in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area, preferably a private rental of someone's pontoon rather than the more expensive option of a marina, but considering all options at this point.
Key info is:
Length: 12m
Beam: 6.5m
Draw: 1.1m
Not sure how high the mast is...
Thanks.

Hello Alpha0

Congratulations on your new acquisition .

When I purchased my current boat, I did a letterbox drop of houses with pontoons in the local canal development seeking a berth. The response was fantastic. I had a number of options available for different amounts of rent, all however, at a fraction of what marinas charge.

Kind regards
Trace

I'm in Moreton Bay trailer boat club which is probably the better marina in Manly. If you can get into Wynnum Manly Yacht Club the fees a little better.

There was someone advertising on Gumtree last week to let a cat berth at Aquatic Paradise. There is a small marina there which is used by locals so you don't have to go through someone's property. I'd be there but i have a 7.2 beam and the berth only allows for 6 or 6.5. Otherwise there is the letter drop and there have been private pontoons come up regularly at half the price of a marina.

hope island will be cheaper if you don't need to access the greater part of the bay or there is a marina at Kangaroo point which is selling berths at an extraordinary low price and are looking for renters. Bit run down I believe.

Don't know what's available up Redcliffe way.

You won't get under Bribie Bridge.
