Hi All,

Was thinking of joining the Indo rally 2016 but am committed to work till at least January maybe March...so was thinking of getting to Darwin by July time...can any of you share thoughts on doing that given the timings?

Assuming I finish up in January, I was going to sail up as north as I can below the cyclone areas, then wait out till Aprilish and then keep on going north...If I end up finishing in March then I will take the 3 months to sail to Darwin...

I realise that during this time its mostly northerly winds that I might be hitting...any other things to think about?

Thanks in advance :)

You might be better off crossing the great australian bight!
why do you have to leave in jan? You could leave Sydney in May And the weather should be sweet all the way to Darwin.

Well idea is that I'd like to explore along the way as much as possible so take my time rather than make headway quick....I also want to get away from Sydney as quick as possible due to it being ridiculously expensive lol :)
