All going well I'll be moving to Nowra next year, I'm currently stuck in the middle of NSW, there's not much water here, let alone sailing opportunities (unless a beer can regatta counts!), I'm getting excited about moving closer to the coast again and wondering if anyone knows of any good sailing clubs to sail at, in or coastal to Nowra. My background's predominately cruising but I don't mind pulling a bit of string from time to time, while sighing, while a skipper screams maniacally at me, when it comes to racing . TIA.

I sailed at the Nowra sailing club for 35 years. The club is a bit quiet now and races Spirals. I sailed 5 seasons at Port Kembla club which I would rate as the best sailing club anywhere. I sail at the Jervis Bay sailing club occasionally but prefer to just sail out of Greenwell Point these days. Greenwell Point is less than 20 minutes from Nowra. Feel free to swing by.

I agree with Ramona. Greenwell Pt is the best option. Currambene Ck at Huskisson is also a good spot.

I should add that the Cruising yacht club at Calalla Bay is very active. Sussex inlet has an active mid week trailer sailing racing as well. Not sure whether the catamaran club at Vincentia is as active as it used to be.
