Hi everyone, I'm very new to this. I'm hoping someone could tell me how many miles it is from Yeppoon in Qld to Lakes Entrance in Victoria. And therefor how long would it take to sale a yacht that distance.
I'm looking at buying a Yacht at Yeppoon and I need to bring it to Tasmania, Tamar River.

The approximate distances are as follows:-
Yepoon to Lakes Entrance 1150 miles
Yepoon to Devonport 1300 miles.
My first question would be :- Why would you want to sail to Lakes Entrance?
A horrible stretch from Gabo to Lakes Entrance, a possible non entry over the bar and once in there you have to get out.
Suggest from Gabo cross over to top of Flindrs Island (The Sisters) the day hop to Devonport.
As for how long will it take? How long is a piece of string? Too many variables.
Be careful with using a delivery skipper. They sank our yacht off Flinders Island three years ago with no recourse.

As a matter of interest, what make and size of yacht are you considering to purchase.
Lakes Entrance is supposed to be an all weather option now.
Or so i have been told.
Worth checking out details, don't take my word for it.
You will need to know cruising speed of vessel then divide distance
by that speed to work out how long.
