Sealing an obeche deck

Thumbs Up

I have a 32' motor sailer which is a converted ex-crayfish boat. It is a wonderful boat and I love it a lot, mainly because it is so easy to use and an excellent boat in a chop!
But, my decks are made from strips (about 60mm wide) of Obeche timber and they tend to become rather porous when they get water (e.g. rain) on them. I am in the process of stripping out the old sealant between the strips and replacing this with new FIX1DC from Fixsys - slow process but I am getting there....
What if anything should I put on the bare Obeche?? Should I put boiled linseed oil on?

Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks Neil
