Simpson and Lawrence stuff.

G'day.
Just wondering if anyone has or has had any Simpson and Lawrence gear onboard.
I have a S&L windlass with a stuffed electric motor and cannot seem to find an agent or distributor in Australia.
At this stage it looks like I will have to get one in from the UK.
Does anyone know of an agent in the land of Oz?

Thanks Rumblefish, but I have been down that road and they said that "we aren't allowed to help you as they are a different company to Lewmar".

Thanks Rumblefish, mine is a Sprint 1500 so I guess looking at the link, I would need a Lewmar V2 for just over $3k!

UncleBob, the motor on mine has locked up also due to water ingress causing a seized bearing and corroded brush gear and commutator.
If I can get another one from the UK (for $580), I will be having a close look at sealing it better against water getting in.

Huttons' Winches in Sydney may be able to help out, I'm waiting to hear back......

either gum tree or e bay had a simpson lawrence reco motor for sale with in the last month or so I have no idea if its still there. I have no idea what model it was
To me it sounded like a lady's partner had passed away and she was clearing things out

I need a 12V 600W output and 1000W input.
