Hi are there many single people out there who like cruising / not racing in protected waters? Sydney Harbour? Port Hacking? Broken Bay?
And short hops between. In fair weather.
I have met with and sail with a few. Always more fun with like minded people.
Most people I know are married, into serious racing or pushing the boat to the max in whatever weather.
An example of what I call fair weather sailing.
Steady 10-15 knots 25-30deg C to 1 metre swell
Sail for a while, get to a lovely beach or spot for lunch, swim etc perhaps a siesta during the hottest part of the day. Pretend you are a possum.
Sail home or stay overnight or for a few days rafted up or moored / anchored nearby.
I do a bit of that and try to get further afield, which can be difficult to get around to. The boat is in the bottom end of Pittwater and spends most of its time in Broken Bay and off the coast.
You might try the Coastal Cruising Club, they tend to spend most of their time on the water social cruising/sail aways etc. They meet every 3rd (I think) Thursday at the Amateurs in Cremorne.

perfect conditions is all you ask for?
Yes i saw them once....... About ten years ago.
Good luck on your quest.
I am quite new to the sailing scene, have just stepped up to a larger boat coming from a 26' Pacific, My new boat will be moored in Five Dock Bay (soon i hope) and i will be looking to shear some learning experiances with like minded person or persons. Be it just cruising the beautiful Sydney harbour or venturing a little further out past the heads. ??

OH, FOR A BIT OF THAT UTOPIA!!
I am, however, simply grateful for a break in the torrential downpour to dry out my eldest daughter's cabins, head, and get a hold on the March of the Mould....life aboard...ain't it grand![]()
