Hey guys,

Just after some ideas on your favoured places to take your boat to be slipped for it's antifoul in Sydney Harbour (can be anywhere, but West of the bridge would be nice).

Had it done professionally for the first year, wasn't super happy with it, but as the boat had been a mooring minder for some time, was quite happy for them to cop the hard yards the first time out. This time, I want to do it myself so I know exactly how well (or not ) it's been done!

I know some places like Gladesville Bridge Marina don't allow you to do the work yourself due to insurance, but others like Woolwich do.

So who's the cheapest for a simple haul out & guerney?

Cheers,

Ray

I can recommend Balmain Marina. Jeremy has worked hard to maintain it as one of the few places you can still work on your own boat. Old-style facilities but pretty obliging.

I do get annoyed at slipways that won't let you maintain your own boat. A certain facility owner has apparently harassed slipway owners like Jeremy, trying to get them closed down so everyone has to send their boats to be painted professionally.
