Special morning this morning.
Atmospheric conditions mean the high tide at about 0830 hrs will be 300 - 400mm above HAT.
Almost unheard of on the mainland but common here this time of year.
What is unusual is the range over 1 foot in the old measure.
For the curious!

Super moon last night ? might be responable
...... I think three days after the full moon it's the highest water ? not sure on that info though someone that doesn't have to rush off to work could check that ...... Bye

What's "HAT" ? Is it like mhws for Tas ?

HAT is Highest Astronomical Tide. Usually used for things like bridge clearances.
