I am looking at buying a Spacesailer 20 and wondering if anyone has a opinion on them for a novice sailor in protected waters
Thanks in advance

We are living beside the Huon in Tassie & want something to sail in the local waters on weekends
It is a fixed keel but we intend to moor it across the road in the river so this is not a drama
Regards Don
We ended up buying the Spacesailer today
Looking forward to taking it for a sail whan the weather improves ![]()

Well done Don.
You will get a lot of use out of it and the Huon and Channel area are a cruisers delight.
The Cruising Yacht Club of Tasmania has an extensive cruising programme around the Channel.
They go out for weekend overnighters and have a BBQ ashore somewhere.
A great way to meet fellow yachties, learn about the Channel region, they also put on courses.
To join either Google CYCT.org or contact Margie Benjamin on 62674994
Pleasnat sailing, see you on the water some time.

Thanks for the information so far it has been very helpful
Regarding joining a club thanks for the info on the CYCT but we are living in Port Huon and the Huon Yacht Club is based here and the lady we have bought the boat from is a member & speaks highly of the club
We slipped the boat on the weekend to have it surveyed on the clubs slip & met some of the members & they have been a great help to us
Looking forward to joining the club and learing about the local waters
Regards Don
