That is a good question . I have a mate in Harvy Bay QLD with a sports boat and he sails part of a mixed fleet of other skiffs . Have you inquired with Mounts Bay?
As far as I know, SPYC and RFBYC probably have most and both have about the same numbers but SPYC seems to race them as a class on occasion rather than just Div 1. If you have time check out the boats attending Opening Days for the Clubs as they are all a week apart. There are several sports boats for sale at the moment, including a Colson 770, Magic 25, Thompson T590 etc
Four Viper 640’s were landed in Western Australia in 2009.
They suited the 20 – 25 knot “Fremantle Doctor” (seabreeze) perfectly. What’s not to like about an 18 knot downwind ride on the Swan River.
Another container of four Vipers will arrive in the New Year. Three have been sold and another awaits a prospective owner.
Not bad growth. Eight boats in eighteen months.
Close to 40k including sails,cover and trailer if you import one boat in a container.
Containers of four boats are cheaper still.
