Are you getting pulled out at Rosshaven marine? If so contact Richard ([email protected])there and he should be able to point you in the right direction.

Okay...back to the drawing board.
It's a friend's new purchase...Duncanson 37 (big project).
We're in Airlie presently doing the deal and my friend has decided it's prudent to have the boat slipped and engine looked at before he goes anywhere....ultimately delivery back to Melbourne.

So? Clues to marine mechanics, riggers and slipways in the Airlie area.

Okay, thanks.

You may be better off hauling out in Mackay Marina Shipyard as there is a good mechanic there Mackay Marine and Service Diesel Mechanic 07 49550200

Thanks all for your input and recommendations.

At the Eleventh Hour, one hour prior to flying out to respectively Melbourne and Brisbane, moneys were exchanged.

Busy 3 days, no time for play (you know...typical yacht buying scenario).

Looks like the boat sits on the mooring until July /august, gets towed up the vaguely notated Creek on navionics to Edge's Slip, hauled, pressure-washed, inspected, antifouled, new sounder transducer installed and motor seriously looked at. Then a week or two cruising the area before heading south slowly, picking weather windows.

It was a much different experience for me, purchasing/planning/ stressing vicariously. Has been healthy in reigniting my passion for messing around in boats.

Once again, thanks for your help people.
