Well here I am, back after being suspended from the forum.
Aparently I offended Rant, can you believe that ??????? Hows that for double standards ?
This will be my last post, I don,t need the forums with standards like that and Seabreeze has made it clear that the forum doesn,t need me.
Seabreeze do not alow you to remove your profile so I will remove as much as I can and leave it at that.
To the fine and decent people who post here, I wish you well. Fare winds and safe sailing.
I cant say what I think about the not so fine ones, dont want to get suspended again before I get to delete most of my profile, lol.

Hey Rick, hang around for a while and see how things go. I know your feeig peed off now but I for one have read your posts and learned a lot and enjoyed reading them.
it would really be a shame if good people walk away in protest to forum suspensions.
to put it in perspective, running and moderating a large forum is mostly a thankless bitch of a job. just imagine the crap-ton of posts you have to read and complaints you get bombarded with. somebody is always pissed off about something. that's why the forum has a zero tolerance approach for troll-like behaviour, and retaliating to troll-like behaviour.
I am pinged off at these suspensions as I believe they are unwarranted and I am pinged off at people leaving because of it. The sailing forum has never really needed moderation and the recent situation seemed to be settling down.
Far be it from me to be criticising the moderators as 1. It is a bitch of a job and 2. It will get you suspended.
I for one am staying and I hope the ones leaving will reconsider. All are valued members.

to be fair, once the mods get dragged into it they have no choice but to enforce the rules as written.
i imagine there has been a flurry of less than idyllic private messaging going on behind the scenes too.

As a recent entrant to Seabreeze, I've enjoyed and benefited from everyone's thoughts and contributions. It would be a real pity to lose some of the most active contributers here, even if there's a bit of crankiness occasionally.
So my suggestion is: lets settle down, have a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down. Then come back tomorrow for more of the good stuff - sailing talk.

What?? Can you still buy Bex?? I thought it got banned years ago along with Vincents APC powder, Dr McKenzies Menthoids and any other pharmaceuticals that actually worked and made you feel a bit better.
