Taking my 30 foot yacht from Sydney to Lake Macquarie on Saturday, 14/11/09.
Can anyone tell me the state of the Swansea Channel. I have heard that dredging has been happening but would like to know their progress.
Thanks.

judgeing by the yacht in ur picture im thinking that is the yacht ur bringing in ... it look like a cruiser so ur keel wont even be close to touching sand in a high to medium tide ..
even low tide stickin to the right path marked my markers will get u in the lake with no prob

we brought our young 88 (1.8 m draft) back from lake mac on oct 17. swansea coastal patrol provided an escort, but we got through fine on virtually high tide without any help. when the boat was taken up a few weeks earlier, coastal patrol pulled it over to about 45 degrees with one of the halyards. there has been continued dredging since then, so all should be good now. - call costal patrol at swansea to log your eta etc.
