In 2007 the s&s34 Huckleberry was winning h/c for 4 hours mid race. Again a stiff headwind helped her to that point and then it disappeared. She ended up 3rd in Div 3.

Probably motor trouble or hydraulics. At least in the TV coverage at the start they mention the engine runs 100% of the time. The noise of the hydraulics though out the boat would get on my goat after awhile.

Bloody sailmakers! So that's what a $250,000 mainsail looks like.

Hope it gets tossed. Loyal did very well no matter the outcome.

Grates a bit when they keep mentioning winning instead of line honours.

And of course you all noted Whistler, a Tassie based MBD36, early model Sydney 36.

45 / 88 LH
2 / 19 IRC4
10 / 72 IRC overall.

Good to see the modest yachts can post results well above their rating!!

Hi mitch. Welcome to the forum. We are friendly around here so pick yourself an avatar and put a bit of yourself in your profile and join in the fun.

Don't worry about Poodle there. He lives in Western Australia and drinks Queensland beer, so it is no wonder he has his finger down his throat all the time.

So where have you been sailing? On the Zuider Zee?
