I knocked off early today and had to meet the wife in Brookvale but I was about a hour early so I just went for a spin on the motorbike. I left the Mall and drove towards Harbord and found myself in Manly Vale, took a turn down Addiscombe road towards my old haunt, TS Condamine. The building has been demolished but I could still see the outlines of the guard house and the old dock. I haven't been down there for probably twenty five years but it brought back some good memories. The waterways seems to have been condemned, no water activities allowed, but we had a good time. Are there any of the old boys from back in the day on Seabreeze? Good times indead...

Never did go to TS Condamine but did go to TS Sydney on Snapper Island off Balmain on my first leave after joining up in 1966.

I gained my first experience of sailing there on a beautiful varnished, clinker built 16 or 18 footer.

That was 45 years ago and my memory of it is as vivid as if it was yesterday.

Cheers Cisco.
