Just what are good yachts worth these days?

Sister ship to mine, little untidy but good bones.

yeah, have thought that. Now it makes me think i will probably just keep the boat we have and not upgrade because we will not get the money back we have spent on upgrades.

It's like replacing the engine or gearbox in a car, doesn't matter what it costs, it's not going to improve the value of the car as a whole. It's just one of those costs that you need to bear.

I was thinking about bargain boats today and wondered if one came up in an exotic place and maybe 20 of us seabreezers bought one and used it for holidays
Turkey might be nice Ha ha just on a whim Id borrow Dr Rogs Hammock
trouble is Id proballyt get to use it when in needs anti fouling

The rational side says don't over capitalize. In practice if you want to have a seaworthy boat for offshore use you must spend enough to keep it that way. No way around it.

A hole in the water surrounded by fiberglass into which you throw money.

Yes the answer is not to over capitalize, I have a list of equipment I have spent in the last couple of months, would hate to add it up, like today find out that my second plotter Hummingbird 798c only has a local map, so after a phone call find that a full map will cost $380 !!!!

Turkey is nice, as is Greece or even Croatia and when you get bored with that there is always the Costa del Sol or Costa Smerelda. Plus it'd be fine if not everyone wanted to all turn up on the same day

If they did we just buy more dinghies Plus as some stage there would have to be a sailor on here that had long service and could sail it to new grounds
