Hello,
Just looking into buying an old (cheap) trailer sailor, less than 5.5m. It'll be on a mooring for a couple of months (a mate has one and needs it kept whilst he overseas) but then I'll need to keep it on a trailer.
With some of the old sailing boats, from the late 70's/early 80's (eg Endeavour 24), how hard is it to get the mast up and launch the thing? I am used to dingy sailing which of course is easy to do single handed but can I launch something like this on my own? Is the mast a nightmare to put up?
The plan is to have something in the water for a weekend, then anchor it in a safe spot around Manly on Saturday night. Would I get fed up with something like this?
Other option would be an open boat with no cabin, so much lighter.
Does anyone rig and launch a boat like this on their own or am I dreaming?
Any ideas gratefully received!

OK to leave on a mooring. Sails like a keelboat that it is. Prices around $6k including trailer. Getting the trailer with the boat is a must, as trailers are expensive on their own, and virtually nobody makes tilt trailers for sailboats any more.
