I've just got hold of one of these 80's trimarans. If anybody has a copy of the owner's manual or other guide that expalins how the boat was originally rigged, it would be greatly appreciated. Any close up photos would help. I did do the google thing but didn't turn up much.

I reckon the TriFli was one of those boats that were a design so far ahead of its time that it was ahead of the materials they built it out of. The hull design is cool, not that different to a Weta, but the stayless dacron sailed rig with wishbone boom just needed to be carbon and mylar sail and there would be a million out there now.
My advice (and happy to be corrected on any of this) is to sail her exactly as is, then gradually stiffen some of the bits up, and don't be afraid to add shrouds to stiffen the whole thing up.
No instructions other than start in under 10 knots, sorry.

Thanks for that Peter. My Tri Fli has shrouds and the mast step cup in the deck is so oversize it looks as if it was never designed to hold up an unstayed mast. Maybe there were some variations in the design along the way? Cheers, Jim
I sailed one many moons ago and it had stays too. Maybe there were a few variations?
I have a TriFli and yes it needs a stayed mast. The mast step is not long enough to hold the mast in position 'While sailing'

Seems that there are a number of development of this class. Found the stainless outrigger frame badly corroded on arcprofs
