Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has recently stayed in Ulladulla Harbour and can give some idea on staying overnight?
It looks like it is a smallish fishing boat harbour but you can't anchor inside.
Cheers.

I've done it a couple of times, going in then tying up on the first jetty to port - rafting up up if necessary. Best then to see who's around at the Co-op, ask where you can stay. If rafted up along side a fishing boat it'll be best to stay reasonably close in case they are leaving. There's a fish n chip shop and pub just up the hill. People seem OK to have you stay as long as you don't get in their way.

You are correct that you are not allowed to anchor inside the harbour. If I recall correctly all berthing and wharf use is controlled by the fisherman's co-op. There is a VMR base at the harbour that can advise you.

Just had a look at the site and you should all note that there maybe other facilities available that are not on crown land.

About three years ago, the floating jetty near the launching ramp had a high spot at its outer end, which was actually shallower than closer to shore. It's a trap for tired singlehanders......just don't ask me how I know this.

I've been in two or three times and never had any problem just rafting up, but we did stay pretty close and we checked it out unofficially with one of the local characters who was having a drink on a nearby fishing boat when we came in at night - and also having a drink on the same fishing boat when we left the next morning.

stopped in there last year on the way back from Hobart came in out of 45 sw front was unnecessarily worried about the bar which was good as breeze was offshore tied up to large long liner at coop for the arvo where we picked fuel and had fish and chips at the co op the fisherman and staff were very helpful and i couldn't recommend an easier stop off
