I have always wanted to go cruising.
Chartered a couple of boats but many years ago now.
We have lost the nerve to go sailing alone but I still want to do a big trip.
Lately I've been thinking about getting an experience sailor with a good boat to take us from Perth to Cocos Keeling, one way, flying back after a rest
We would be working & helping to sail not lounging
.
This is something I want to do in the near future, maybe a couple of years away.
I am guessing it would take a few weeks even during the trade wind season.
It might even be too rough for novices, I'm not sure.
The big question: how much would it cost to get someone to do this, hopefully they would be continuing on to Africa so it wouldn't be a charter type trip but subsidised leg of a larger trip.
Is this practical?
Would someone from say Eastern Aus stop off at Perth & pick up passengers or would they be going around the top?
We could always s get on in Darwin then
Legally if someone is putting ,food , drink , fuel and contributing to the expenses I think I'm covered.
Some are asking a set price from leg to leg I would believe the boat would have to be in full survey with liability insurance and all the paper work that goes with it!
I think I'm looking for preferably a divorced or widowed mature lady that still looks hot in a bikini and has a nice fat purse! Haha

P.s
that is overlooking the southern bay of lizzard island I wanted to get in that anchorage for a snorkel but the wind blew southerly for most of the 2 weeks at 20 to 30 knots!

Lol..I certainly don't have a fat purse...I have a boat..lol...and don't worry Loose Change..I have a good sense of humour
