Whats the best stuff to water proof our boom tent?

Was out a few weeks ago in torrential rain and put it up as a shelter. It worked OK for the first 15 minutes but when the material got soaking the rain went straight through it.

Hi Trek,
I used Star Brite waterproofing - excellent results, but very pricy.
I bought the 3.78ltr version from somewhere (?) online (cheaper than Whitworths), much more economical.
Don't get it on your deck as it will make it very slippery!
