I just had work done by these guys
www.arco-winches.com
They where great, fast, cheap and nice
Give them a ring for any brand they have heaps of spares and also make there own components on site
I hope this is allowed on this site, i have no affiliation, just happy customer
Yes, +1 for their winches. We have a set of arco-hutton which, so far, seem bullet proof. Great service from Alan and got a trade in on our old Barlows.
Traded my old arco's in on new ones a couple of years back, love em. One of the few remaining onshore manufacturers producing quality gear.
I used the Arco , the one out of USA , for many years but was not happy with the rubber lining on the self tailer. This was after 40,000 miles mind !My new boat has the Andersen , all stainless model and they seem to be very maintenance free. So far so good !!
My primaries are two speed self tailing Arco's. Stitched up a set of vinyl covers for them to keep the rain off. Found that if we had a few days of rain the socket hole held water which seeped in to the workings and made the first use stiff. Now they look like they will last forever.
