After a general check on the plumbing aboard l discovered a leaking shower tap. After disassembling it l realised, it is cactus, unrepairable. It needs replacement of the seal unit.

Would any of the estamed members have any idea where to get replacement parts for it? Replacing the whole tap assembly would be a major job as one could not get to the other side easily.

Is there a brand on any of the shower parts and don't suppose the washer section (that would create the seal) on the inside is a standard house tap washer that slides into the plastic housing

Where the plastic housing is broken is this critical ?

No brand name, nothing at all.
Yes, that is the problem. Where the 'standard' looking house tap washer, which is far from standard hence the screw on the middle sits on the plastic, the plastic is disintegrating. That causes it to leak IMO.

The whole plastic assembly which screws into the housing has to be replaced. This is what l hold in my hand on the second and third pic.

I don't suppose something like this (even though it is metal) would work in the housing www.notjusttaps.co.uk/spares-valves-three-quarters-std.html

Reece trade store or Tradelink or any specialised trade plumbing store will be able to help you with a new spindle, main problem will be you may not be able to fit the existing tap handle onto the new spindle, so will need to replace both spindles (H & C), & new handles to match them.
