Yacht sinks!

43 or 44 foot steel yacht sank off Huskisson [Jervis Bay] yesterday. After 18 hours of drama the yacht was being towed back into Huskisson by the rescue association. The yacht was being sailed solo and lost her mast and had all the usual problems 5 miles SE of St Georges head. Details are very sketchy at this stage and I suspect wont get much better.

We have been experiencing howling NE's all week.

I'm over on one of the southern Moreton bay islands and there's a nice looking 30-40 foot ketch sunk off the end of the Island. It's been there a few days now. There's a second one sunk off another island too. Weird. I'll get a photo later on and post it.
