Thats the guy who buys from people who cant be bothered any more, cleans them up and re-sells. It is a useful service I guess. Can't help wandering how much he pays for them.

Probably not much and I doubt whether he cleans them. Jonathon is also a broker, I bought my yacht through him. That Clansman looks like the one that belonged to one of our Seabreezers from a couple of years back.

If Johnathan is making a profit from it at that price, good luck to him. I met him near 3 years ago when he showed me a Cav 28 for $18,000 which I passed on and bought my Lotus 9.2 for $28,000 the next day.

I admire the guy for his willingness to take a punt. Nobody would know Sydney Harbour better than he, or the market.

He operates his business from a 14 to 16 foot dinghy and a good smart phone. Seems to be honest (got my $1,000 holding deposit back) and I wish him all the best.

When you look at what he is doing, it is a dream lifestyle and very much a fringe dweller thing.

I have heard some of these off market sales are ridiculously cheap for example where marinas are just trying to recover lost rent and avoid paying disposal fees.

One boat I inspected a few years ago that was one of Jonathon's was being sold by one of the yacht clubs that was just abandoned on their mooring.

What do you think HG? Only 1 photo, no internal photos, hard to judge. BTW why is it in this listing…is it a related boat?…really like the Clansman.
