Heading to the Swaines reef for a spot of diving and fishing next month and are a little concerned about weather information whilst out there.Dont have HF radio and no cell phone coverage that far out.Was considering either hireing or buying a satphone.Thoughts on that appreciated.
I have an Iridium 9505 which I use offshore. I don't have a permanent deck mounted aerial so it is limited to the cockpit and therefore fine weather. Otherwise it is great.
