An aquaintance has a container of second hand maxi yacht sails which will be disposed of hopefully to a worthy cause.

Ive a recollection of seeing an advert or reading about a guy [ in QLD?] who was collecting old sails for shipping to Indonesia or PNG for the use of local fishermen.

Any clues?

Not that a PNG fisherman would be using a maxi mainsail, but having travelled these areas by freighter its interesting to see what materials are used to catch a breeze in lieu of a long paddle.

Any feedback appreciated.

Cheers

Royal Geelong Yacht Club, sent a container of old sails somewhere
in 2009. You could contact them and find out where they went.
From memory Murray was the guiding force with that.

If you have no luck you could always send them our way. We could recut them for our landyacht group/club
