can I do the following?
gel coat first coat
gel coat second coat
final coat flow coat. to seal it so that the gelcoat below will go hard and allow to then finish sand the whole lot.
can I do the following?
gel coat first coat
Then sand it to get rid of the wax
gel coat second coat
Then sand it to get rid of the wax
final coat flow coat. to seal it so that the gelcoat below will go hard and allow to then finish sand the whole lot.
Then do what you like
I thought you add wax to the gel coat to make it go hard. I would not be adding THE wAx to the first two coats and then keep it tacky. Then add the flow coat on the last coat so all the layers go hard. Then I would not need to sand between coats?

Sorry, you are right I was having brain fade .... Apply gel coat one after the other, preferably when one has gone tacky then apply the other and there is no reason you can't do the same with the flow coat, that is when the second gel coat has gone tacky. No need to add wax to the flow coat as it already has it added.

Thanks loose change appreciate your input :)
You're welcome, just need to say sorry for the erroneous info at first ... I can't even blame the red as I hadn't had any that night.
