Hi all, wife and I looking at getting a trailer sailer, windsurfed our whole lives, limited sailing (catamarans etc) thinking maybe this boat

http://www.boatsales.com.au/boats-for-sale/private/used/SSE-AD-926797/2009-Custom-TRAILER-SAILER?cr=25&psq=%28%28%28State%3D%5BWestern%20Australia%5D%26%28%28%28SiloType%3D%5BDealer%20used%20boats%5D%7CSiloType%3D%5BDealer%20new%20boats%5D%29%7CSiloType%3D%5BPrivate%20used%20boats%5D%29%7CSiloType%3D%5BDemo%20and%20near%20new%20boats%5D%29%29%26Service%3D%5BBoatsales%5D%29%26BoatType%3D%5BSail%5D%29&pso=15&pss=Premium

not sure if that worked, a custom 25 ft Kevin back yacht, on boat sales wa want to sail from gero to abrohlos or trailer somewhere and sail like shark bay, jurien bay etc overnighters . any opinions also what is the best navigation tool for a novice so I don't run into a reef somewhere is the ipad kind of thing any good or stick with normal stuff. cheers terry

Hi Terry
I don't know anything about the boat you have posted but ine bit of advice to consider. You and the wife have come from sailing faster boats if you buy something slow you might get bored

ha ha, maybe me but the wife doesn't like me going flat out in the powerboat (it has a 35hp) :) so I think if it keels over more than 20 degrees we will probably have to turn around drop sails and motor home.

Nice looking little boat, but $25K seem a big ask for a 29 year old trailer sailer.

The Kevin Back boat has been either for sale for a long time or it gets sold again very quickly after having been bought. The price is a bit too top heavy for what it is, after all, unknown design from an unknown builder, which I think makes it the only one in existence. Knock ten grand off and you may be getting in the ball park.
It got a mention in this thread, (www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Sailing/General/Starter-Sail-Boat/)but of course the ad is now date expired and you can't see what he was asking for it then. From memory I think it was about what he's asking now.

i agree with loose change looks like a great boat well built with nice lines but one off by unknown designer builder will limit resale value wouldn't stop me from buying it but i would watch the price
