just wondering if anyone has sailed around venis bay? if so is it any good for beginners.? would appriciate the help.

I havent sailed aorund it but I have used a power boat around it. It gets very shallow in places and may not give you a large area to play in. You may end up tacking lots up and down a channel.
probably best up around Port Kenny.
Lovely spot with lots of flat water. If your learning do not go out the heads and watch out for the out going tide near the wharf as it might suck you out. usualy safety issues with sailing - dont go by yourself if you are a beginner.
