Hi all, I've been thinking about sailing my Hobie Wave (13' cat) from Southport on the Gold Coast up to Bundaberg, over about a week, beach camping each night. Any comments on feasibility? Shouldn't be any problem through Moreton Bay; the trickiest bit is probably coming through Wide Bay Bar.

I've got all the requisite safety gear (waterproof VHF, EPIRB etc).

Take a camera and put up a blog about your trip. Sounds like a heap of fun.

Hi, I won't give you any credible advice however I say go for it! You will be sailing along the coast so there should not be really any remote places. Check this story out:
