sunmaid 20 rudder

have just bought sunmaid 20 and the rudder don't say down,have rigged up down haul system,to get it down but how do i keep it there?

i used a block and jam cleat led back to the transom when i had my sunmaid many moons ago.

do you know any history of your girl??

I owned mine in Brisbane (Wynnum/Manly area) between 98 and 2000. She was called Rhiannon and was white with a forest green stripe.

They're lovely little boats, hey??

yes they are lovely little boats,don't know her history sail number 76.I copied this from the sunmaid association web site,[12.Swing type aerofoil rudder blade secured in place by friction locking device]which is why i am asking about the rudder.
