Hi everyone,

Who can give an advice to me?
I'm planning to put my Adams 10 on mooring in Pittwater next month. I'm new in this area don't know much. I prefer to keep the bottom clean by using hull cleaning companies.
Does anybody know any local divers who can take care of the hull of my boat but not very expensive? Maybe contact details? And how often would you recommend to have bottom scrub in this area?

Thanks in advance.

My guy services mooring underwater but doesn't do scrubs (AFIK). I've sailed with a local who has a good rep for hull scrubbing but I've no idea on charges or such.

Do you know where your mooring will be?

I got a couple of requests so here is what I know. I usually use Bob Sims but Bob tells me he has enough work until next summer so isn't available. Bob has been very good but I haven't had it done for awhile so don't know the current rate.
I use Richard at Aquaman for my mooring services and he also cleans hulls. His mooring work is good but I haven't had a hull clean from him. I would expect he would be very good. Price is based on time but I expect it would be $100 or more for an S&S34 type boat that has a bit of growth.
I haven't had MB done for some time as I have slipped her every 12 months for the last few years due to other work needed for longer trips. I plan a slip and anti foul to last 9-12 months, get a clean which lasts about 6 months. Another clean and then a new anti foul. Gives me 21-24 months between slippings.

I have successfully used Broken Bay Diving Services to scrub my 34' Jeanneau moored at Church Point. $100 per visit. Contact Ken Noble on 0450 964 586 or [email protected]. For a similar cost, Ken also rescued a sunken mooring for us in Little Lovett Bay which we suspect was cut off by the ferry.

I forgot, I have used Ken as well when Bob was unserviceable. He did a good job.
