I couldn't find my earlier post so I've started another. I found a 2005 3.2m Sailworks sail but thought I'd need a 370 mast - 351 - 353 cm luff length needed. But on the base/tack of the sail it says the best mast is a Sailworks carbon epoxy 400..? So will my 30% carbon 400 sunshine mast do the job?
you are obviously a very keen sailor so i would advise to save up more money and buy later model small sail.
later model wave sails from my experience are way,way better than earlier models.
i sailed a earlier 2004 4.5m wave sail once in 25knots plus and got overpowered big time.
my 2009 Tushinhgan Rock 3.3m with a 340 or 370 mast is awesome for control in 30 knots.
yes,the 400cm mast will work as sail will have adjustable turbin, smaller 370cm would be lighter and better.
Over here the wind will only be strong enough to use a 3.2m a few days a year which is why I don't want to spend much $.I have a 3.8m I bought 6 months ago that I need a consistent c30kts for and it hasn't been used yet..either too gusty or ballistic.Be great to have recent sails..I think my newest one is about a 2005..
Thanks. It seemed too good to be true that I woudn't need a smaller mast..might be worth a look.
I would rig it on the 4m mast and see how it looks. If it looks ok give it a sail. If it sails ok you don't need a new mast.
Anyone know this guy? The phone number for his ad doesn't work and he isn't answering emails.
