I was windsurfing at inverloch on the weekend, after all the inverloch windsurf club crew had left, for some reason?? So in the afternoon there was just me and my brother out windsurfing, and two speed junkies, with old school gear and one kiter. Any way this kiter takes off on a run, then I take off, we were both sailing at the same speed, right beside each other, and only about 3-4 m apart from each other. I thought to myself, I am not letting this young kiter beat me, and I try to close the gap on me board and lean further back, and then I passed him and bet him. I noticed he had a good look at me as I passed him, and I think he was abit surprised how fast pollys can go..
I did not beat him by much and I had to really push my board, but at least I did win the heads up st race, and I was not even windsurfing with speed gear he,he,he
Any kiters who read this, your welcome to take me on in a heads up st race too
Was this after lunch last Sunday? If so, did you notice a group windsurfers further up the inlet in the afternoon?
Yeah.. I had a race a few weeks ago in very marginal conditions. He had the biggest kite I have ever seen. Going slightly faster than me, but at a cost of going down wind. Pretty cool though :). We exchanged a few WOOH's ! 
On sunday, me and a mate nailed it past a few yachts.
