Are there any decent sized breaking wave within a 50km radius of perth?![]()
sorry i asked, i have'nt lived here for long and don't know any decent spots![]()
To narrow it down, don't worry about radius... just try north or south.
West is OK, but you'll need a boat. East sux. ![]()
There is some, even better if you can handle 150km each way, but I can't tell as I don't live in Perth so I don't have 'locals disclosure rights' ![]()

is what I'd look like, people like spot1 are very territorial
Hi GW,
Have you been taking windsurfing lessons from John Kerry?
Great to see you have your retirement activities planned out, though I thought there was reasonably good windsurfing on the gulf coast of Texas.
I know lots of people think you are an idiot or incompetant. However I am sure you are a good bloke and would be good company with a beer in hand as the snags are cooking on the barbeque.
Anyway I remember sailing at Lancelin around 10 years ago and that had nice waves but I think its more than 50ks away. I thought WA people didn't blink at driving 500 kms.
On any given windy day should you spot a ladden windsurfing van/car...follow it and you may get lucky.
This is the art of zen navigation ![]()
