Hi,
I am keen for a sail, winds are supposed to be NE morning then SE afternoon with high tide in arvo. Looks like it will be pretty average... but I am keen to get on the water.
Thought I might try the sorell causeway or cremorne, does any one have any recommendations?
Cheers Chris
No
earning brownie points in garden (wish it'd stop raining). Wind looks pretty average, NW according to Droughty Hill, good luck ![]()
ooyeah- lookin' good for Doran's tomorrow.
BTW Laurie - how come the Tassie teabaggers have their own section (with 1 post) and us poleys don't?
I might have to check out dorans tomorrow, my kids are away for the last bit of the holidays.
Had an ok sail at cremorne for a couple of hours, tide was lowish but some of the gusts were ok with an 8.5m. The tide kept on carrying me upwind so i could make use of the gusts.
My 50cm fin is now a 49.9 as there is a lot of sand in the lagoon at the moment.
Cheers Chris
Did you make it to Doran's? It was good - never seen that many boards out at once - counted at least a dozen at one stage. ![]()
It was a nice windy Sunday in the north of the state we had fun. There was even one kitesurfer with a newish looking slingshot 13m ( Kiters are so rare up here that they still have novelty value, its the third kite I have seen all summer!).
I checked to see if he needed any help, he was fine but found it a little windy for the kite and swiched to a classic late eighties windsurfing set up (poly Strapper Slalom, gaastra slalom pro) which he had no problems with. It amazes me how much of that older gear still is usable.
I agree easty, there should be a Tassi forum. All the other states have a forum and the vibe seems much mellower than Windsurfing General which at times seems dominated by the bad, the sad and the mad.
