Im an artist and itching to do a painting that sums up summer at Nobby's Newcastle.I had this great photo from the 80's of everyone there but cant find it now.It was from a magazine. There were guys standing around talking having a break , rigged boards lying on the beach & a few still out sailing the surf.I have this idea of a panorama of Nobby's with the headland in the background and the view up the beach with the scene described above happening on the beach. Can anyone help out with reference shots please?

Thanks PC. Can I get a larger file of that photo? It will help me as reference.
I checked out your profile pics a while ago..great pics, very impressive!
I ended up finding the photo I wanted but I had to mirror reverse it to look up Nobby's beach + use a different pic for Nobbys headland ..& of course I then realised that all the gear on the beach / sailors are wrongly aligned for the wind!
I went out for a sail yeserday which was a bit of a waste ( got there too late ) but at least I could line my gear up aligned as I needed it & take some reference shots. The whole thing is a bit daunting. To make matters worse, before Ive even started Ive gone & entered it in a local artshow thats on in 2 weeks.
..Hope it B turns out!
try Andy at BoardCrazy in belmont, he took the photo, and has more from the same day, might have something you could use..
Ok . Thanks. When I tried to come up with a name I couldn't think of any & not being very familiar with forums picked sboardcrazy thinking it wouldn't show up on the topic..when it did I hoped noone from there would mind!I suppose it's free advertising.
