"Being a Dad is Grand!"...........

I too had a great day and got some real good home made pressies but.....

then I was brought back to Earth at 3am this morning with the littlest tacker sitting on the dunny vomiting copious amounts of her dinner (NO I did not cook last night) all over herself and the BARFFroom.

Luckily I don't feel sick myself from that horrible smell of vomit - possibly from a misspent youth doing the same thing after some hard sessions at the pub!!

Such Is Life for us doting dads with wives who conveniently turn deaf when kids are calling in the middle of the night (or when asked for a little "luvvin").....

Although I spent most of Sat night ('till 2am) & most of Sunday clearing trees off roads & tieing-down roofs due to storm damage, still managed to be woken by kids (7am) with their homemade pressies and a few hugs. Got home last night for a few more hugs & put the kids to bed. Will play catchup time for it over the next few weekends.

Excellent! Find a nice little place to store this item! One day many years from now you will look at it again and forgive him for all wrong doings he may have done. I looked at a Father's Day coffee mug my troubled 14 year old son made me 4 years ago just last night, he proudly but incorrectly spelt "Happy Farthers Day" on the cup which was glazed on forever, it reminded me that he isn't without mistakes and I love him no matter what.

Awesome. I didn't get anything like that. To my sons defence though, he is only 1. But he still showed me the same love through his laughter and joy. Its great being a dad, even though we sometimes go missing when there's surf or its windy.

I was given a leave pass. Got three hours sailing then allowed to fall asleep on couch at lunchtime. Only on fathers day. Oh and a mug and screwdriver set saying "best dad in Australia". Even after a morning sailing. Better than a cold shoulder which I would get if I tried the same trick on mothers day.
