Anyone know where i can get some acrylic dust to sprinke on epoxy? or any better ideas, saw some coarse sugar done but looks nothing like original.Any help appreciated.
Whitworths sell some in a plastic jar. I can't remember what they call it, but ask for deck grip, and I am sure they will know what you are after.
i used international intergrip on mine , i sprayed on some 2 pack clear coat then sprinkled some one then repeated it all went pretty well . I got it from bias boating
Coarse sugar didn't work cos it was.... coarse!
Be careful if buying acrylic dust as sometimes marine supplies places don't realise just how savagely coarse the boat stuff is.
Never had a problem with caster sugar.
Caster sugar is the go.
Clean the board, tape up the area you need to treat. Buy a spray can of automotive clear coat.
Spray the coat on. Then distribute sugar through a siv to get an even coat. Some of the sugar will dissolve with use and leave a nice non slip surface.
Dont throw it on like it did originally by hand or you get a lumpy finish.![]()
