Is there a standard dimension for boom measurement.. I'm trying to work out where to take the measurement from to get the basic setting as per the printed sail settings. My guess is from the front of the mast to the inside of the tail ?

if you're using an RDM with a shim you have to usually extend an extra 2cm i.e. if sail spec says 200cm for boom, set it at 202cm.

I get the idea but I would have thought most sails are designed around rdms now?
