Just want to say thanks to the two guys that helped me last Friday at Pelican Point. Long story I was out sailing and stood on a Cobbler in the shallows. Being a kiwi I had no idea what the hell I had stood on and I was amazed that a couple of little black spots could inflict so much pain!! I sailed back to the beach cursing and swearing and starting de-rigging. A couple of guys came over and asked if I was ok and advised me that it was probably a Cobbler and that I should put my foot in boiling water. One of the guys luckily had a gas stove and boiled up some water which worked a treat. Pain was almost gone after a minute. Cheers! Dave
Maybe the burnt foot helped! When I say gone, I should have said more like reduced! I've still got the barbs in my foot and know they're there!
Not many left for the fishing fraternity as Windy, Elmo and I have nailed them all with our feet. I have even had the joy of the devil fish at Novara to add to the cobblers.
And now the blowey's are chewing toes ![]()

Some good news from the link posted above ,
# Since the 1960s commercial cobbler catches in the Swan-Canning, Peel-Harvey and Leschenault Estuaries have fallen from more than 400 tonnes to less than 10 tonnes a year in 1993.
