Ouch, a few bruises in that lot!

I think I would like to try Lake Garda in the European summer, anyone sailed there a bit?

Yippee! A lawyers paradise!
Clearly a man made structure with high prospects of inflicting serious bodily injury.
I bet they can get a years work within the first hour.

I haven't tried Garda yet, but Santa Croce is nice, thermics work great....if the weather is sunny the mountain peaks warm up and create afternoon wind from 13:00or 14:00 till nightfall...there is an autocamp as well...and it is supposed to be less crowded than Garda...I live 350km away and I only found out about this lake last autumn...

It's a little known fact 'cos Flip doesn't like to brag, but he's already been to France, where he worked in a secondary school teaching English.....

Unfortunately, he had to come home after just a few months 'cos he missed his mum.......

It's OK Flip, you just won't be able to wear your burqua whilst sailing

I'm sorry but 'ban windsports'?? Is that just in Victoria or is that Nation-wide like the carbon tax? I'm in Japan and don't get all the news that's news.

i know i place in Sydney that has a man made jump, used by waterskiers, and its free.....
never thought of windsurfing there until now..

i also went windsurfing on lake Issk-kul in Kyrgsztan last year, one day it was easily over 40k warm water and sunny .... if this country had money it would be the one of the worlds hotspots.. for flat water anyway

Garda is the nice place, but gets quite crowded in the summer. I have been windsurfing there in spring - nice.

I noticed a board in the vid with no skeg, just a bunch of thrusters like you'd see on your typical surfboard...is that the go for flat water freestyle nowadays? Does it feel the same as using a regular fin?
