Am visiting Maui and wanted to go up to the cannery today. Can anyone tell me where to find it or how to get there from Paia?
Call Phil at Maui Sails and he will direct you. It can be a bit of a mission but is cool.
It's pretty easy to find - easiest way to get there is probably to just follow the Hana Highway on the Northshore and turn right into Haiku Road which is just past Hookipa (probably about the second right after Hookipa and just after some big hairpin bends in the Hana highway). Just follow Haiku road for a couple of km and you can't miss it - big shed like building on the left.
Have fun - if you chat to the guys at Quattro you might get a tour around some of the shaping rooms which is pretty interesting.
I think is on West Kuiaha Road. Which is a few miles after hookipa on the right. Follow the road up and its on the left. Takes about 10 minutes from hookipa.
