Anyone notice that a lot of the BOM forecasts have been wrong lately....

Makes me start to think that it just can't be done.....

Hasn't worked out too badly in the past (or at least in the last 4 years I have been following them). Certainly our current weather pattern seems to be causing some problems though.

I'm still bitter about last Saturday.....false hopes of SSE 20+ knots.........

Last Saturday was 25+ knots at Ricketts, almost right on schedule at 6:00.

Try the marine simulation for a more detailed view of when and where the wind will be.

I don't have a huge amount of faith in the simulation but every bit of information helps, especially when La Nina is behaving like a bitch with PMS.

Sat at Elwood we got a fart of 12-15 knots around 6....... must be the Brighton wind shadow........ Need to flatten some of the mansions for the windsurfing peeps :P

I have been told that they mostly get the forecasts right, but the dates wrong
