Gazza got a GoPro for xmas, but he fractured his arm (fell off his bike) So he tied it on my gear the other day, then he went home and edited it. This is only the first windsurfing go, trying to sort out the angle, water drops, fog etc. On a 5.5m and 88l quad last 10 minutes of a 3 hour session, sun was getting a bit low.
Good choice for the tunes Gazza
Bugger!!!!!! the upload has another 75mins to go from time of posting!

That is one of the better go pro angles I have seen. Probably the best in fact.

Yes, mounting on the tail of the boom is the way to go.

The only thing i hate about this video i can see myself stuck watching on the beach First time i haven't sailed December in 15 years

The camera moved after mike fell so will try and get the first angle again where the boards is in shot.

i think we can get the fog issue fix by using the a/c in the car and we need to tie down the bloody straps.

Apart from that pretty impressed with the first attempt, im glad i went with the gopro hd 2 some great functions on it

Glad you had fun Mike!!

Both angles are really good but prefer the first one angle - love seeing what the board is doing.

I admire how far round you run the clew in the cross-on when you get that vertical smack off the shorebreak around 245 - nice one Mike. Cool editing Gazza - well done.....hope you get back on the water soon

dishwashing liquid for the drops - works a treat

tried anti fog in the past on another housing - if anything it seemed to attract fog to where i had rubbed it on !

go pro make some inserts that work fantastically for fogging - especially when used with the aircon / dry air trick

Ha ha it was one of those classic fun days at scarbs, nothing big just fun little waves and heaps of wind in the break best of all hardly any of the usual side shore/rip current

Well done

As Reflex said get GoPro's own anti fog strips, don't root aound. The fogging used to drive me spaz but never a problem with the strips now, I just wack them in the oven for 10min then straight into the housing.

nice angle... wonder how it would work with an extension to put the gopro a bit further out to capture more of the rider/wave/board. Thou may mess with way the rig feels if its too long.

also... WETSUITS IN JANUARY?!!!?!?!?!?!!?!?!

1:59... was that a quick look at the beach... "any of you guys see that sick jump?!"

hey matt with the dish soap do you just rub it on neat or do you dilute it down, like when applying it to dive masks

will get some anti fog inserts now i know they work

Anti fogs here:

www.seabreeze.com.au/shop/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=47

Someone also suggested if you "Get a new unused chamois, cut some rectangular strips off it place in between the sides and top of camera and case. This should be done in cool climate (e.g. inside house) before heading out into the humidity. The chamois absorbs the moisture and helps minimise fogging." ... not tried it myself.

I use the official anti-fog strips... camera never ever fogs, never needed the aircon trick, and haven't had to put them in the oven yet, they seem to dry out ok on their own.

I also recommend a quick coat of rainex on the external side of the lens before each session - water dribbles straight off...

My right calf swelled up 3cm bigger than the left. Split skin above knee on crutches for 4 days.

Thought i would try and lay some pavers at work and keep getting a sharp pain in my elbow after 3 days of this i went to back to hospital and found out i had fractured my elbow.

Heres the cut its a ripper....It looks like a lazy eye haha
