You should flick him an email and ask what he was smoking when he came up with the name wave panther

Compares fairly well with w^nky names like NP's V6 and V8 , and was it Drops who had "2 stroke" and "4 stroke" boards a few years ago?
Not to mention F2 wave Guerrilla with tiger stripes (most guerillas wear camo, not orange tiger stripe?), Starboard Kombat, NP Combat and then camo all over some harnesses and some boards (Tabou?)

my new range of boards will be the "3000cc twin turbo rebel force assault vehicle"

good topic Mark.... strange names for boards and sails....why?

mistral joker ?
starboard evil twin ?
naish flying pig?
severne blade?

Just wondered can you come up with anything better (serious ones) for boards or sails ?
I'm probably tempting fate here

If I were you I would stick to names that appeal to kids. Things like "Real Mighty" and "Rad" and aspirational things like "Copulator" and stay away from names like "Spaz" and "Gay boy" or things their mothers might call them like "Nice boy" or "Lovely".

This advice is free.

How about greek mythological figures?
Dionysus or maybe Ares?

Hephaestus is a bit cumbersome as a name, but he was apparently thrown off the top of mount Olympus - something for a board to aspire to!

I designed a windsurfing sail for my thesis at uni while doing product design and called it AEOLUS (The greek god of Wind)..........

I thought it was a very marketable name.......

How about "hypotenuse" that's Greek isn't it. The square root of the sum of a bunch of squares seems appropriate.

Oh, wait. It was a thesis - it doesn't have to be of any use[}:)][}:)]

Come on fellas - no one has yet matched "Wave Panther". Who thought that up? You'd have to sail like a champ. I'm thinking of getting one. No wonder those marketing blokes are well paid.
