Just curious,
Heading over to Rotto for the day tomorrow and it is costing me $80 (with a bike), was wondering if someone could tell me the price of a day trip over to Green Island. Was thinking about taking my windsurfing gear over next time, but seems more cost and hassle than it is worth.
Are there any other windsurfer friendly island day trips around Aus worth doing?
If you're asking about Green Island FNQ, a 14 day pass is $149 www.cairnsinfo.com/cairns-tours/Great-Barrier-Reef/7-Day-Green-Island-Pass-1834/ No extra for your gear just be nice or if you know what you're doing hire it from Toody on the island. Stay at a backpacker joint in Cairns for a cheap holiday.
Green Island is always worth the effort! It costs about $70 for the day trip,
and the staff on the boats are used to windsurfer so getting gear on and off
is no hassle. The wind at the island is always more consistent than the coast
and the waters crystal clear. If your ever up here try to get in contact with the
Fnq mob GPSTC team as there is almost always one of us on the island.
Check out Arlington reef on the BOM site for our wind readings.
